We’re seeking a Watch Specialist who will be responsible for efficient processing of watches through EBTH’s jewelry department. The primary focus of this role is to evaluate and process watches to be sold.

TASKS YOU’LL BE JUGGLING
- Performing research and evaluations on watches using previous experience, current knowledge, reference materials, expert contacts and other resources.
- Writing item descriptions in an appealing, informative, concise and historically accurate manner.
- Working directly with the department to ensure total satisfaction with the EBTH standards.
- Minimizing returns by providing accurate item descriptions.
- Working in conjunction with the department to maximize throughput and timeliness of the process of evaluation.
- Assisting, when necessary, with other tasks including sorting, basic evaluations, measurements, & grading of other items.
- Managing relationships with other experts in the field of watch making.
- Maintaining facility accuracy standards, driving continuous quality improvement.
- Participating in a team culture of open and positive communication.
- Other duties and responsibilities, as assigned, which may become essential to the position.
CREDENTIALS WE ARE SEEKING
- High school diploma required, with higher-level degree and/or two+ years related experience in evaluation of watches.
- Basic knowledge of silver, gold, and other metals.
- Knowledge of vintage and high end watches, metals, and ability to decipher quality items.
- Fluency with a loupe and measuring tools such as mm gauge, weight scales, rulers and basic equipment that is for watches.
- Tech-savviness; computer proficiency is key (Google Drive/Microsoft Office/ Processing Systems).
- Ability to effectively communicate via email, phone, and in person within and across teams.
- Ability to maintain a set production schedule to align with business needs, while being willing to be flexible.
- Ability to work swiftly and accurately.
- Drive! This business is fast-paced and challenging. A self-starter is a must!
- A team player mentality with an ability to work independently.
- Reliable transportation.
