EBTH is seeking a highly charismatic, experienced, and results-oriented Director of Estate Services. This pivotal leadership role will be instrumental in expanding EBTH's footprint within the fiduciary and estate community. The Director will operate out of our Cincinnati, OH office, with a mandate to significantly grow business across the Midwest and East Coast regions.
Reporting to the CCO, this key individual will work closely and collaboratively with our Home Services and Consignment leadership teams to ensure seamless client experiences and cross-functional success. The primary objective is to cultivate deep, strong, and enduring relationships throughout the regional trust and estate community, effectively communicating and promoting a comprehensive understanding of EBTH's complete portfolio of capabilities. This expansion of business will span the full spectrum of services, from securing high-value estate consignments for auction to developing opportunities for authoritative appraisal services and private sales.
KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Director will be responsible for the strategic development and tactical execution of business growth initiatives, including:
- Strategic Client Development: Develop,implement, and rigorously execute a sophisticated strategic plan designed to proactively maintain and significantly expand client relationships within the trust and estate sector, focusing on long-term partnership and referral networks.
- Business Acquisition: Aggressively pursue new business opportunities within the dynamic trust and estate landscape, skillfully navigating complex client and legal structures to successfully close high-value deals and consignment agreements.
- Relationship Management & Networking: Establish and cultivate professional, high-level networking relationships with key stakeholders and centers of influence, including trust and estate attorneys, insurance companies, wealth managers, private bankers, fiduciary advisors, museum representatives, certified appraisers, and other industry professionals.
- Market Representation & Reporting: Represent EBTH with professionalism and authority at all relevant industry meetings, conferences, and events. This includes proactive participation, thought leadership, and timely, detailed reporting of market feedback and actionable results to the leadership team.
- Industry Insight & Opportunity Generation: Continuously foster and proactively identify new business opportunities by staying abreast of the latest industry developments, regulatory changes, and competitive landscapes. Leverage market intelligence to inform strategic decision-making.
- Travel & Opportunity Support: Travel as required and necessary to effectively support and capitalize on all regional and national business development opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of success and a comprehensive professional background, including:
- Estate Expertise: A deep, nuanced, and current understanding of Trusts & Estates services, including the unique roles, objectives, and needs of wealth managers, estate planning attorneys, tax advisors, and fiduciaries.
- Experience: Ten (10) or more years of progressive professional experience in a Trust and Estate-related field and USPAP licensed. This experience should be within areas such as legal practice, fiduciary management, tax consulting, or trust and estate focused business development.
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree is required. Candidates possessing professional advanced degrees, such as a Juris Doctor (J.D.) or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with specific, demonstrable experience, are strongly preferred.
